My Cricut Craft room- Card Creating Sunday

Welcome to Funky Cards and
 Card Creating Sunday

Good morning and welcome back to My Cricut Craft Room Card Creating Sunday.  I hope to inspire you with my work today and to encourage you to try something new! As you know, each week I will be sharing with you new cards that I have designed and adding a few tips that I have learned along the way.

Today I am sharing a birthday card with you that I just finished.  I can't seem to keep birthday cards in stock!

Recipe:
Pink By Design Stamps- "Kind Birthday Wishes"
Create a Critter Cricut Cartridge- "Birds"
CuttleBug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder
Googly Eyes
Gel Pens
Ribbon
Flowers
Brads

***Tip of the Day***

***Today's tip- Sizing and Flipping
By resizing and flipping the same cut you can create an illusion with your design that you have two different critters who are talking to each other, such as a momma bird and a baby bird.  Here you can see that the same bird from the Create a Critter Cricut cartridge was used.  On the card however, it appears that they are two different characters.  The larger bird was cut at 2.5 inches.  The baby bird was flipped and cut at 1.25 inches.  Have you ever used your flip button?  It is really a great button to get to know!!!  Try it out:)  It will make your designs come to life.  (The flip button can be found on the Cricut Expression).

Thank you for stopping by!  Be sure to stop by My Cricut Craft Room to see what the other Design Team members have in store for you today at Card Creating Sunday:)

  1. Cute! I love using the Flip button. Sometimes people probably think a cut won't work/look right on a card etc, but if you use the Flip, it turns out just right. TFS

  2. I think this might be one of my favorites from you Madison. SO, so sweet. Maybe it's because I'm a momma. :) Love the colours, those polka-dots, and of course, those google eys just crack me up. :)

  13. This is so absolutely adorable, Madison!! Those little birdies are so precious with their googly eyes and pretty flower accents!! Your cards are always so creative and fabulous!! :D

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! I would so recommend Flower Shoppe...the flowers are so easy to make! Each flower has several layers, but I usually only use the top layer because it is so pretty on its own. I have never quilled before, but I bought a quilling tool to help roll the flowers and they turn out beautifully! And they don't take any time at all to make! It truly is one of my very fav carts!! :D
