Welcome to Funky Cards
I hope you all had the chance to read about the November/December "I Feel the Love" recipient
The Pediatric Oncology Unit at Keiser Hospital (Oakland, CA)
Korrine's parents, Matt and Dana Croghan will be visiting the Pediatric Oncology Unit at Keiser Hospital just before Christmas to hand deliver Christmas cards, made by all of you, to the children who will be spending the holidays in the hospital this year. Korrine spent time at Keiser when she was being treated for cancer and the Croghans are very much into giving back.
They have started a group called Team KC. This group has taken on Korrine's dream to improve the quality of life of pediatric patients and their families. One of the things they have done for the kids on the Pediatric Oncology Unit is bring in a video game system on wheels. They have also purchased computers, holiday presents, and gift cards.
Korrine’s biggest dream was to build “Team KC House,” a nearby home-away-from-home for patients’ families. Read the attached link to see how the Croghans are trying to make this dream a reality.
I know I am making as many Christmas cards as I can to send to these kids. Please consider joining me. You can also help by spreading the word. Click HERE for all the details. Thank you so much for all your support and all you do each month to make someone else's day just a little bit brighter. God Bless you all!
