Welcome to Funky Cards and
Disney Pixar Blog Hop #4
November 19th and November 20th
After sharing 3 exciting Disney Pixar Blog Hops with you, we are excited to bring you hop #4. The same group of talented crafters have designed and created a variety of adorable and clever projects that I am sure will inspire you.
So far I have made a variety of projects including a Woody cross stitched decorative pillow and a Winnie the Pooh Growth Chart for a child's room. Today's project would go really well in the same room as the growth chart. I love painting so today I want to show you how you can use your Cricut to help you paint and create a Disney project all at the same time.
Here's what you need to get started: a cut out of the character that you would like to paint (cut from your Cricut cartridge), paint, a paint brush, and a blank canvas (not seen in photo). To create the cut out, simply find a character that you would like to paint onto your canvas and cut it out using one of your Cricut cartridges. This Winnie the Pooh is cut at 10.75." The cut out you use will be cut to size depending on the size of your canvas and any other features or characters in your painting. That will be left up to you.
This adorable canvas, which can be hung in a child's room, was painted in no time thanks to the Pooh Font Set Cricut cartridge.
This project was made for Everett's 1st birthday. He is one of the little guys I babysit for. To add his name, I followed the same technique. Using the Robots Cricut cartridge, the letters were cut out and traced onto the canvas and painted. You could also trace the negative of the numbers onto the canvas if that is easier. I just love how it turned out. It is really vibrant in person. What do you think?
