For today's blog hop, I decided to make a photo frame that could be given out as a special treat to every guest who attends a child's birthday party. It could also be made by the party guest while s/he is at your child's party (with your help!)
This is what each party guest starts with:
1. A blank photo mat that you can buy at the craft store.
2. The letters to spell out "Friends Forever." cut from the Robotz Cricut cartridge (cut at 1.5")
3. Two aliens- cut from the Robotz Cricut cartridge- (large one cut at 5", small one cut at 1.75")
4. Wire to hang the finished project, two additional pieces of wire.
Help each child attach the aliens using whatever adhesive you prefer. These were attached using an ATG gun and Zig Two Way Glue.
Next, add the words "Friends Forever" using whatever adhesive you prefer. These words were attached using Zig Two Way Glue. Once the words were attached, I stitched around the letters to add a shadowing effect.
Next, help the party guest attach the wire pieces that you have bent into fun shapes for added interest. They can be placed into the empty spaces like you see in the photo. The last piece of wire is used as a hanger and is hot glued to the back of the photo mat.
All that is left is to take a picture of the party guest with the birthday boy (or girl), print them out, and attach them to the center of the photo mat. While the kids are off having fun you can assemble the pictures and frames and have them ready to hand out to the guests as they are ready to leave the party:) What a great way to remember the day!
This photo is actually a picture of my brother Dalton and his friend Michael. Dalton is on the left. Who would have thought that the little blonde guy eating his hamburger in that photo would grow up to be a sailor in the US Navy:)
Remember, to be eligible for our prizes, you must hop to each of the stops on the blog hop, make sure you become a follower of each blog, and leave a comment while you are there. It is as easy as that:)
***BLOG CANDY---PLEASE NOTE MY COMMENT SECTION IS AT THE TOP OF MY POST NOT THE BOTTOM.***
To be eligible you must be a follower of my blog and leave me a comment. Please let me know in your comment what game you liked playing as a kid:) The winner will be chosen by random and will receive the following 5 digi stamps/cutting files donated by my sponsor Papercraftingworld.com:
So, now that you have seen my project, it is time to get hopping again. Off you go to Lisa's blog to see what this rock star has designed just for you! Here is the list of blogs you will be visiting today in case you get lost along the way:

Hello Madison. I love your frame. This really would be a lot of fun to make at a child party. I have to tell you that I never had any interest in owning the robotz cart but you totally changed my mind! Those robots are SOOOO cute and I just love how you added the wire. My favorite game as a child was probably clue. I always loved trying to figure out who done it. Keep crafting.

Stephanie

ReplyDeleteThis frame is adorable Madison!
ReplyDeleteYou do great work!
I have never been interested in The Cricut Robotz cartridge until now!
You've given me good inspiration!
When I was a child, I really liked this game called "Masterpiece". I think it was put out by Milton Bradley. It was a game where you would buy works of art. It had cards that were fairly big that had copies of actual masterpieces created by famous artists and I just loved it!
I think it's because I've always been into arts & crafts.
I sure wish they still had that game today, but I haven't seen it.
I'm proud to be a follower of your blog!
Look forward to more great inspiration!
Thanks,
Lisa
