Welcome to Funky Cards and the
"For the Kiddos Blog Hop!"
If you arrived from Jenn's blog, you are in the right place. If you happened here by chance, click on the icon above to head back to the beginning.
My project for this hop is a photo cube. I wanted to make something that teens could make for themselves or to give as a gift! If you know or have a teen, I hope you share this project with them. Maybe they will make you one:)
My project for this hop is a photo cube. I wanted to make something that teens could make for themselves or to give as a gift! If you know or have a teen, I hope you share this project with them. Maybe they will make you one:)
Start with a styrofoam cube that you can buy at any craft store. This one is a 5" square but yours can be any size.
Now it is time to embellish. This side was kept simple. Photos, stickers, and a flower. The only die cuts were the numbers "1" and "6".
This is a sports themed side. These are the two sports I played in school this year. If you wanted you could create a sports cube and you could embellish each side with different game photos or newspaper clippings that you have copied onto card stock:)
This sports themed side combines photos, die cuts and stickers which makes it fun.
My photo cube is for my mom so each side has photos of my brothers and I. This is all about what we were doing in 2011.
I adhered each side of the cube with my ATG gun. I also added a brad in each corner as you can see in this picture. I pre-punched the hole in the paper prior to putting it on the cube.
My cube has two blue sides, two red sides, and two orange sides. I placed the same colors on opposite sides of the cube.
Here is what it looks like all together:) It would be fun to make for your parents or grandparents! I really like mine. I included the year on Aaron's side so in the future I will know what year it was! If you make it for yourself (you talented teens) add pictures of your friends, teachers, sports, family, and personalize it to make it special for you:)
