Welcome to Funky Cards and
Cooking With Cricut's Cele"BEAR"ation Blog Hop!
All month long CWC has been inspiring its followers with wonderful cele"BEAR"ation projects in honor of CWC’s first blog-aversary. The fun continues today with our blog hop!! If you arrived here from Karla's blog you’re in the right place! If you happened here by chance, you can start back at the beginning by clicking on the icon above or by clicking HERE.
Our theme for today’s party is bears and/or celebrations. My project is all about BEARS and celebrating TEACHERS!!
Using the DLTK's Teddy Bear Printables For Kids website (click HERE) and my Cricut Expression, I created a variety of activity pages. The coloring pages, like the one on the top right end, was made using mini sharpies. Just replace the cutting blade with a Cricut color pen or mini sharpie and trace any Cricut image that you want. This bear is from the Create a Critter Cricut cartridge (6.5"). I added several coloring pages to this book using this method but did not show all the pictures here.
I put together a book about bears that parents/guardians could give to teachers at the end of the school year to say thank you. This book can be used as a school project next year and years to come when the teacher is doing a unit on animals (bears). He or she can photocopy any or all of the pages for his or her students so that they can make their own books:)

Have you ever noticed the portrait button on your Cricut Expression? It is located on the top left corner just to the right of the display screen. I used the portrait button with the mini sharpies to trace the letters KOALA using the Zooballoo Cricut cartridge. These cute Koalas will be cut out and become a stick puppets:)
On the left, the child can create his own Bear-ific story. On the right, the child can see how many words he or she can make from the words "Cuddly Teddy Bear."
You can make your book for any age child! This one is geared towards younger children but you get the idea.
Now it's your turn! Link up your cele”bear”ation-related project at CookingWithCricut.com. Here are the guidelines for the challenge:
- Project must include a Cricut cut.
- Project must include a Bear.
- Project must be new for this blog hop challenge.
- You must link to your post and not just your blog.
- Your post must include a link back to CWC.
