I Feel the Love Project- Marley Moore

Welcome to Funky Cards

I Feel the Love Project

One Year Anniversary

Today we continue our journey back to the beginning by looking back at our recipient for the month of July 2011.

On Friday, August 7, 2009, Marley was taken to the hospital due to concerns from her family as well as their family physician. A CT scan found a tumor (pilocytic astrocytoma), about the size of a lemon. Surgery took place on Monday, August 10, 2009. The surgeon was able to remove a larger portion than he had originally thought, but that evening, as a result of trauma to the brain from surgery, Marley suffered a stroke, leaving her right side paralyzed.

On October 11, 2011, the following message was written on Marley's blog:

"Surrounded by her loving family, Marley went to be with Jesus earlier this morning.

Today, she will run down the streets of gold with two strong legs, see the light of our Glorious Savior with perfect vision, and experience the health, joy and peace that this world has robbed from her.

I also believe with all of my heart that she will be there to see MANY more walk through the gates of heaven because of her life...and she will hear these sweet words from her Heavenly Father...

Well done, my good and faithful servant. Come and share in your Master's JOY.." (Matthew 25:23)."

On March 16, 2012, the following was written on Marley's blog:
"After the past few months of heartache and loss, we have experienced JOY this week. Not a joy that replaces...but a joy that refreshes. That joy came in the form of a precious baby....a beautiful, perfect, healthy baby boy. At 1:27 p.m. on Monday, March 12th, the newest addition to the Moore family was born. Micah Nathan Moore, a perfect 7 pounds, 19 inches long. The name Micah means "one who is like God" or "a gift from God". Pretty fitting if I do say so myself. :) He shares his middle name, Nathan, with his awesome daddy."

I will always have a special place in my heart for Marley.  I am so grateful to those of you who participated in this project. Marely loved her cards and they brought joy to her life.

Join me next Monday as we look back at our third recipient, Ms. Kate McRae.

Have  wonderful day.

  1. Marley was the first recipient I did with my class at church. My sunday school class is just little kids and I couldn't tell them about the lose of Marley. We pray every sunday morning for all the people who have been a part of the I feel the Love program. Thank you Madison for giving me the opportunity to teach my class how much we have to be thankful for.
    God Bless
