KinderStampO Ornaments and More Ornaments Blog Hop

Welcome to Funky Cards
KinderStampO Ornaments and More Ornaments Blog Hop
December 17-18

Today's blog hop is being hosted by Jess at KinderStampOIf you arrived from Sigrid's blog, you are in the right place, if not, head back to Jess' blog so you don't miss a thing!

I love the idea of decorating our Christmas tree with a variety of special Christmas ornaments. Some of them are from the store, but a lot of them are homemade. This year I made a special ornament that I want to share with you. This ornament started out as a light bulb in my bathroom and when it burnt out I decided to repurpose it:)

For the background color, acrylic paint was carefully poured onto a paper towel and rolled in the same direction around the light bulb.  More pressure was applied while rolling to the areas where less color was needed since the pressure would remove the paint.

Letters were cut from vinyl at 1/2" from the Pooh Font Set Cricut Cartridge.  This personalized Christmas ornament has our family's last name.  Of course you could make them with first names, last names, school names and colors or a variety of different options.  A pretty bow on top finishes off the ornament.

My second ornament is a felt ornament.  I like to make animals out of felt for kids.  I made this elephant for Kate McRae for Christmas.  Kate was our  August "I Feel the Love Project" recipient.  She likes the color pink and animals so I thought she would like this:)  ****If you become a follower of my blog and leave me a comment on this post letting me know what your favorite animal is, I will enter you in a Random Organizer drawing for a chance to win your own felt animal ornament.  They are stuffed and dimensional (it is hard to tell in this photo).

***Blog Candy***
There will be one grand prize. A stocking full of gifts from our sponsors including KinderStampOKarlas001HelmarUnity Stamp Company, Lindys Stamp Gang and PYMII (Preserve Your Memories II). One winner will be picked from all the comments left on all the blogs.  So leave a comment here to increase your chances of winning.

Now it is time to hop over to the incredibly talented Lilli's blog to see what she is sharing today.  You won't want to miss the ornament she has created:)

  Thank you for stopping by.

  14. Gorgeous ornaments and I like the idea of reusing a burnt out lightbulb. It has the perfect shape for hanging on the tree.
I collect turtles so I guess they would be my favorite animal.
