Project with Three Flowers
This week at Cooking With Cricut, we are challenging you to create a project that includes three flowers. The flowers do not have to be made using your Cricut, but we ask as always that somewhere on your project there is an object cut with a Cricut machine.
For my project this week, I wanted to show you that you can be resourceful and create something even when you think you don't have all the right items:) I really wanted to make a vase with three flowers. I didn't think I had any cartridges with a vase. So I started by using Cricut Search and searched the word "vase." I discovered that there was a vase on the Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut cartridge. I would have never guessed! Well, it was probably used as more of a storage container than a flower vase by the Indians but cut at 2.5" and from Anna Griffin paper it looks elegant and will do the trick:)
My flowers are embellishments I won from a blog hop. I used a creamy, brown ink and distressed them. They were a stark white color to start. I didn't have any ribbon to match and I did not want to introduce another color to my project as this would look too busy so I used the same ink to color the white ribbon. What you don't have, you can make!! The flower stems were made from green left over yarn that I used to make a scarf:) I embossed the background with the Divine Swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder. I love how this card turned out:) What do you think?

Thanks for the shout out to Cricut Search! You demonstrated perfectly the reason why we created the site . . . sometimes there is an image on a cartridge you have, but just did not know it was there.
ReplyDeleteAs always, I love your card!
