Put a Smile on a Child's Face

Welcome to Funky Cards
I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer.  I can't believe it is already July!  If you missed it, the I Feel the Love Project launched the July project yesterday by announcing the Sheffield Place as the June recipient.

Sheffield Place opened its doors in February 1991 as a community response to the growing population of homeless mothers and their children in the Kansas City area. Since then, Sheffield Place has assisted more than 560 families in making the difficult journey from homelessness to self-sufficiency.

There are currently 25 kids staying with their mothers at Sheffield Place. They have all endured many struggled in their lives. The mothers required to be clean and free from any drugs before being accepted into Sheffield place. They must be working or looking for employment or in school. These moms are devoted to making a new start for themselves and their children.

Here is one of the birthday cards I made this month for the IFTL Project to send the Sheffield Place.  Once a month, a woman named Nikole will be planning a birthday party for the kids in the shelter.  The IFTL Project is making birthday cards, decorations, treat boxes, etc. to keep on hand for these parties!  Isn't that cool?

Here is how you can be a part of this project.  All you need to do is:

Submit your card/s or decorations by July 31 to:
