Good morning everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful summer. It is starting to get hot here:)
I am so happy this morning. I can only share a sneak preview with you because because my craft room isn't completely organized yet but...my desk is here!!!
So here is the story. Allan, stopped by in June with my uncle for Aaron's graduation party. I had never met him before. When he saw my craft room he told me he was impressed with everything I was doing but that using an old kitchen table for a crafting desk was unacceptable! He asked me to draw plans for my fantasy desk. I didn't think he was serious or that he would do anything about it. I had known him for like five minutes. But I love drawing plans so I designed a desk with two work stations, a third station for the Cricut, lots of small cubbies for supplies, huge cubbies for paper stacks, a cut out on the top of the desk to slide the trash straight in, and a cubby unit right next to the Cricut station that holds the Cricut cartridges. The table is 5 1/2' x 6'. I sent Allan my plans with a prototype I made out of foam. 18 days later I have a beautiful desk! It looks exactly like my drawing. Thank you so much Allan. You ROCK!!!! It is amazing:)

Wow how lucky you are!!!! That is so awesome!!! I can't wait to see it. I notice your cards in the background....what are they sitting/hanging in??? Did you buy that?? I would love something like that to display my cards. I would love it if you would email me and let me know if you don't mind. Have a great summer and keep up the great work.

That is so awesome!!!!! I am oozing jealousy as I work at an old kitchen table that is...well...my actual kitchen table. LOL! Allen sounds ike a great guy. Congrats on your fabulous new workspace! :)

ReplyDeleteWay COOL that Allan was so accommodating by building and delivering you your new crafting work table. Even cooler that Uncle Steve and Allan have remained great friends since the second grade ... approximately 45 years now! That is what I call a true friendship....
