"I Do"

Welcome to Funky Cards

Cricutlicious Saturday

Today the design team members from MyPaperCrafting.com would like to share with you some wonderful ideas and projects that include Cricut cuts from different Cricut cartridges.

My project was inspired by a very special event that recently took place.  My oldest brother, Dalton, married his best friend, Sami on June 22.  I wanted to make a mini album that my mom could either keep on the coffee table or take with her when she wanted to show her friends just a few pictures from the wedding.

Since Dalton and Sami were married on the beach at a golf course, the cover shot was a picture of the two of them in their get-a-way car, or should I say cart!! To embellish the front cover, the word "love" was created using the Plantin SchoolBook Cricut cartridge to make the tiles and the Jubilee Cricut cartridge to make the letters.  To make them authentic, they even have the correct point value for playing Scrabble!!  The outer edges of the tiles were inked so they would pop.

The anchors adorn the inside cover.  They represent Dalton, who proudly serves in the U.S. Navy.  These anchors were cut using the Going Places Cricut cartidge.

As you can see from the photos, the wedding took place right on the beach.  In this picture, Dalton and Sami were exchanging their "I Do's." The "I Do" Cricut cut out can be found on the Sweetheart Cricut cartridge.

We all gathered for a group shot on the beach just before the storm hit and the rain really started to come down.  There is no way we will ever forget this day, but it seemed like a great place to put the wedding date using the Pooh Font Set Cricut cartridge to cut out "June 22, '13."

As the album draws to a close, it seemed fitting to have a toast.  Here are a couple of champagne glasses cut from the Sweetheart Cricut cartridge to raise as we celebrate the newlyweds.

I found that by using Photoshop to crop and stitch the photos together, I was able to get so many pictures into this small album.  Instead of just one picture on a page, you can see that there are pages with three and four pictures to a page.

I hope you enjoyed my mini photo album.  It was really fun to make.  There are other inspirational projects for you to check out today during Cricutlicious Saturday.  Be sure to stop by MyPaperCrafting.com to see what our design team has to share with you (including my mom: Click HERE for my mom's blog!!).
Have a wonderful weekend.
