Welcome to Funky Cards
Disney Pixar Blog Hop
If you arrived from Lori's blog you are in the right place. If not, you may want to hop right back to Shawn's blog so that you do not miss any of the fabulous Disney Pixar projects.
My project was inspired by all the recent happenings in the news. As you know, there seem to be a lot of tragic events occurring lately. I was inspired to create a piece of art that could be used not only as a decoration in a child's room, but as a teaching tool. Each day of the week holds a new Bible verse. These verses can be switched out at the end of the week for new ones so that the child can learn many new verses.
Each morning before school or every night before bedtime, I believe it would be a wonderful experience to sit down with a child and read a Bible verse together. I know not everyone shares my views, so keep in mind that you can also use this for other ideas such as things you are going to do each day, positive thoughts for the day, or whatever other ideas you can come up with.

This would look adorable hanging in a Disney themed nursery or child's room. The Pooh and his friends that adorn the wall hanging were cut from the Pooh Font Set Cricut cartridge.
Each day of the week was cut and embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder. The edges were inked to make them pop a bit.
All of the characters were also inked to give them a bit more character as well.
Ribbon was added to each card to finish it off.
The Bible verses were made using the Cameo print and cut feature. The verses were kept short so that they are easier for the child to memorize.
Once the entire project was finished I added a piece of ribbon so that it could be hung on the wall. This was a really cool project to make. I hope I have inspired someone today to make something like this for their child or grandchild.
I am the last stop on the hop today, but this is a two day adventure!! Be sure to head back to Shawn's blog tomorrow morning for Day 2 of this amazing journey through Disney Pixar projects. Everything will be new thus there will be more projects to inspire you!!
