Graduation Explosion Box

FCCB Challenge #11: Beautiful May Flowers
My inspiration for this week's challenge is my awesome cousin, Alex. She is graduating from high school and I wanted to make her something cool. I decided on an explosion box and with the help of (Canadian Nickel Scrap'N) Nicole's tutorial, I did! This was so much fun! I hope Alex loves this as much as I loved making it for her. On the outside of the box, I copied school pictures of Alex from the 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th grades. I popped them up and added a heart from the Sweethearts Cricut cartridge.
Since the challenge was to include at least three flowers on the project, I added flowers to my lid along with a graduation tassel. I used the Plantin SchoolBook Cricut cartridge to make the flowers.
For the inner box, my theme was all about me and Alex. We share the middle name of Rose, so I made a Rose using the Sweetheart Cricut cartridge. I added other pictures of us from my birthday and individual photos of us:)
I loved the chip board that said, "These are the moments that I want to remember forever," so I added that as the center of the inner box.
The middle box centers around my mom, Aunt Cindy to Alex, and our dogs, Chuck and Rocky. I added frames for the pictures using the Tear Drop Cricut cartridge. I also used the Create a Critter Cricut cartridge for the Ruff Ruff and Smile.
I had so much going on that I forgot to take a picture of the outside box before I attached the middle box. But, here is a close up picture of one of the sections of the box. For the outer box all of the pictures were of all the cousins. The pictures were from times we spent together, usually during spring break. This picture has a flower I made using the Plantin SchoolBook Cricut cartridge.
This was just so much fun that I want to do it again. Thanks for looking and if you want to become a follower I would love that. My goal is to reach 50!!
