FANTABULOUS CRICUT CHALLENGE BLOG:

This was such a fun challenge! I created a scrapbook page using pictures from my recent birthday party :) I loved making this page! I used all of the elements, well all except the glass etching! I wish i could do that too though!

Angi- Flower embellishment: I loved the accordion flower so I made one and used it as an embellishment on the bottom of my page. I added a button to the center of the flower.

Brenda- Journal box: I used the Winter Woodland Cricut cartridge to create this journal box and added a shadow (Penny). I loved the idea of using lined paper, but I created my own for this challenge.

Candice- Embossing a cut out: I actually embossed several things. I added square cut outs around the corners of my pictures that I cut out from the Plantin SchoolBook Cricut cartridge. I used the Cuttlebug circles embossing folder to emboss them. I also embossed the two cupcakes. For the grey paper I used the squares Cuttlebug embossing folder to make it look like cupcake paper. For the frosting, I used the circles Cuttlebug embossing folders to look like sprinkles.

Lori- die cut negative: I added a strip of flowers using the negative cut from Winter Woodland Cricut cartridge. I wanted this strip to separate the title of my page and my picture from the rest of the page.

Nana- Gypsy: The title of my page was made using the Gypsy. I used the Designer’s Calendar and Printing 101 Cricut cartridges to create the words. I welded the words together and added the shadow (Penny) using the Gypsy.

Penny- Shadow: As I mentioned, I used the shadow on the journal box using the Winter Woodland Cricut cartridge and on the title of my page using the Gypsy.

Robin- Drawing: I needed a present for the page so I decided to draw around the present for added colorJ I used the Hello Kitty Cricut cartridge to make the gift. I colored it with Mini Sharpies and then cut it outJ.

Sammy Jo- Gems: I added green gems on the stems of my cherries for a punch of color.

Tammy- Paper piercing: My twist on this was to pierce the paper all the way around and lace it with ribbonJ I made a border and tied a bow at the top of the page.

Valerie- Food item: I added two cupcakes to the page because this was a birthday party and we were eating a LARGE cupcake that I made for my guestsJ I used the From My Kitchen Cricut cartridge to create them.

  3. oooh i get it, very cool! yeah i'm not sure how you could have included glass etching unless instead of a scrapbook page framed and etched the glass from the frame, but i guess that would defeat the purpose of the scrapbook page, hmmm, still an awesome job as usual!
