Each Monday Alex, at You Had Me at Craft, will be having a "Linking Party." All you need to do is link something to her blog that you made yourself.
"Post ANYTHING CREATIVE that you made yourself. Did you sew? garden? paint? create home decor? make jewelry, use vinyl? color? quilt? papercraft? knit? crochet? bake? cook? WHATEVER !"
Well, it's where you get to feature your creations just by linking them here. Yep ... that's it. Simple right? Just a few rules to follow:
- Be a follower if you are not one already. Grab our badge for your blog while you're at it. Link any projects YOU have created.
- No giveaway linking please. There's no limit to how many items you can link. Link parties are all about linking. So visit a few of the other links to discover new friends and link, link, link.
- This is FREE advertising for your projects! Please be kind and link back to this party on your posts. Invite your friends on Facebook or Twitter about the party, the more the merrier!
Theme: Happiness
"My designers were challenged to make something for Happiness Awareness Month. They came up with some pretty awesome things for you. For this week's Link-Up Party, you can link up anything you have been working on recently or that you create specifically for this post, but it must represent something that makes you HAPPY!! I'm so interested in what everyone is making and I'm always inspired by your creations."
Painting makes me HAPPY!! Today I want to share with you the painting I created for my mom and dad's recent wedding anniversary. It was my gift to them:) I saw a flower like this on a painting and I really liked it. I have never seen a two canvas painting so I thought I would try making one. I put the two together and this is what I came up with:)
The larger canvas measures 24" x 30" and the smaller canvas measures 11" x 14."
The paintings were painted separately and when completely dry, they were attached with a hot glue gun and wooden blocks. You can see the blocks from this angle. Note the thick white line that leads to the flower. This is actually the original white color of the canvas. Blue painter's tape was placed on the canvas and the other paints went over the tape so that when the tape was removed the nice white stripe was left.
This is how the painting looks hanging on the wall. What do you think? My mom and dad loved it:)
Stay tuned for more! I am altering another project right now and that should be posted soon! I am not sure why I didn't do this one sooner!
Thanks for stopping by,
~Madison
