Welcome To Funky Cards
Young Crafters Unite Favorite Things Blog Hop!
If you arrived here today from Brittney's blog you are in the right place. If you happened here by chance, please click HERE to start at the beginning.
This blog hop is dedicated to young crafters! It is easy to see what makes me a young crafter. I am 16 years old! I started my Funky Cards blog when I was 14 and have learned so much! I have the most amazing followers who teach me things everyday:) Together we share techniques, ideas, projects, and now we are spreading the love together, one card at a time, through my "I Feel the Love Project."
Today's blog hop is designed to share favorite things. One of my favorite things to do is to work with canvases. I love altering canvases be it painting them or making them into wall hangings as you will see here.
For this project I started with a blank canvas and inked it with several shades of pink ink. I then embellished it with torn paper, a flower, the word LOVE, a torn picture (my friend Claire and I when we were in Kindergarten), a torn sentiment, and several unique buttons.
We were also asked to show a favorite project from the past. As I mentioned, I love altering items and working with canvas so I am sharing for those of you who may have missed this project, what I did with my new Toms shoes:)
I bought a white canvas pair of Toms shoes. Does that surprise you? Well, they may have arrived at my house as a white canvas shoe, but they only stayed white for about two minutes or for as long as it took for me to set up my paints. I had already purchased my fabric paint from Michael's as soon as the shoes were ordered. In a matter of hours I had a completely new pair of shoes.
I love the randomness of these items and how they fit with this Bible verse, "Let everything that has breath Praise the Lord." Psalms 150:6.

ReplyDeleteI LOVE your canvas Madison! And thanks for leaving a comment on my blog. And I love how you colored your shoes! What a talent you are at a very young age! Yes, I love to color with Copics - just one layer of a color and then shade over it with the Prismacolor pencils. Makes it easier to use the pencils. They shade and blend easier with the Copic layer on there first. I will check your blog from now on. Thanks so much for your inspiration!
ReplyDeleteSo cool!!
