Welcome to Funky Cards
Today is Day 3 of Jillian's birthday celebration. She will be turning 12 and I have been posting birthday themed projects in her honor to help her celebrate:) You can see my previous projects by clicking HERE and HERE. You can see more birthday projects and really get inspired by heading to Deanne's blog, Deanne's Creative Juice. Deanne is hosting this event and all of the participants' projects can be found on her blog.
Today, I am sharing with you the shadow box I just made for my brother, Aaron, for his 18th birthday a few days ago. Aaron earned both an Athletic letter and an Academic letter from AHS:)
I wanted a way to help him keep his letters, pin, and patches all together. Shadow boxes are perfect for this. I added colored paper and a picture that appeared in our local newspaper for the background. I also cut out his name using the Robotz Cricut cartridge. He really liked this and it now hangs in our game room with our other sports related items!
Thanks for stopping by!

LOVE this! Shadowboxes are so much fun! I have a few to work with this summer, hope they turn out as nice as yours!
ReplyDeleteAwesome shadowbox, Madison! I know that your brother will always cherish this special gift. I have made several shadowboxes though none of them were sports related. They are lots of fun because you can create a lot more dimension than with a standard frame. Great job! I'm glad I got to participate on this hop with you. You're such a talented young woman!

I really like today's project because it is masculine and sports oriented. TFS and the chance to win. I am a follower. patnbobcuddy at gmail dot com
ReplyDeleteVery nice. I like this project because it is something useful (not that a card or page isn't) to keep some memorabilia safe and on display instead of in some drawer or box or collecting dust on a shelf.
ReplyDeleteGreat gift for your brother.
ReplyDeleteGreat show box!
ReplyDeleteGreat project!!! I'm sure he will love this shadow box!
